If you or someone you know is in need of medical attention or help, please call 911. For mental health crises, you can request the “Mobile Crisis Outreach Team” if it is available in your area to send a “CIT trained” officer to support your loved one in a mental health crisis.

If you are experiencing suicidal ideation, you can call or text the National Suicide and Crisis Hotline at 988.

If you are experiencing an active crisis (anxiety, trafficking, relapse, etc.) you can text HOME to the Crisis Textline at 741-741.

Domestic Violence

  • The National Domestic Violence Hotline (NDVH) is a 24/7 confidential resource hotline providing emotional support, group support, safety plans, and family support for victims and family members of domestic abuse survivors.   • Center for Relationship Abuse Awareness is a resource providing information, education, and awareness services for intimate partner violence, restraining orders, and safety plans. Visit https://stoprelationshipabuse.org/ for more information.

  • Love is Respect provides education and resources on healthy relationship, signs of abuse in relationships, and more. Visit https://www.loveisrespect.org/ for more information. If you are a friend or family member of someone that you believe may be experiencing abuse, you can call (866) 331-9474 or by text LOVEIS to 22522 for additional information. Love is Respect also offers Spanish Speaking and Deaf Services.

  • Women’s Law is a resource to obtain information on basic legal rights, referrals, and emotional support for survivors of domestic violence, stalking, and sexual assault. This resource also provides services for men. Visit https://hotline.womenslaw.org/public for more information.

LGBTQIA+ Mental Health Resources

  • National Coalition for LGBTQ Health aims to improve the mental health and well-being of folks within the LGBTQIA+ community through advocacy, education, and research. Visit https://healthlgbtq.org/ for more information.

  • Parents, Families, and Friends of Lesbians and Gays (PFLAG) provides support for families and friends of those in the LGBTQIA+ community. PFLAG provides helplines, online and in person groups, and resources. Visit http://www.pflag.org/ for more information.

Post Traumatic Stress Disorder

  • The Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) International Association or EMDRIA provides free information about EMDR or Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy. Support Groups

  • Al-Anon offers support groups for friends and family members of those living with alcoholism. This resources offers both in person and virtual meetings. Visit https://al-anon.org/ to find a meeting.

  • Co-Dependents Anonymous (CoDA) offers in person and online 12 step support groups world wide to support folks managing life with codependency. Visit https://coda.org to find a meeting.

  • Mental Health America contains a support group locator to connect folks living with a mental illness, their family members, and friends to support groups. These groups are led by either a peer or mental health professional. Visit https://mhanational.org for more information.
