About Bianca
It’s time you listen to YOU.
What might it be like to return to or discover a version of yourself that doesn’t revolve around other’s pain, responsibilities, challenges, or needs? Maybe you remember a time when you felt free to want, need, and create your own joy. Or maybe that has felt like a distant fantasy. I want to let you know, it doesn’t have to be.
You DON’T have to live your life stuck on a tightrope.
YOU GET TO CHOOSE, and you get to heal.
Are you ready to choose differently?
Meet Bianca
“I developed a passion for working with individuals who find themselves totally lost in the shadow of love.”
Welcome! I'm Bianca Diaz, a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas specializing in trauma-focused and attachment-based therapy for codependents and people pleasers. I am a black and hispanic, LGBTQIA+ affirming, multiculturally competent clinician.
I am passionate about helping individuals navigate the complex emotional terrain of relationships, particularly those individuals who are living in close proximity to other people’s pain. My approach is rooted in creating safe, healing spaces where clients can explore their emotions and find new ways to build healthier connections with themselves and others.
I earned my Master’s degree in Professional Counseling from Texas State University in May 2021, with a focus on Marriage, Couple, and Family Counseling. Through that education I developed a passion for working with individuals who find themselves totally lost in the shadow of love. In a multitude of settings, I have often supported individual adult clients through relationship addiction (codependency), self-esteem building, grief and loss, assertive communication, boundary setting, and through traumatic losses and experiences.
Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working extensively with foster and adoptive youth, as well as populations impacted by trauma including those living closely to others’ addictions, incarceration, mental health and medical issues. My clients have often experienced neglect in childhood, family of origin issues, and abuse. These experiences have shaped my commitment to providing empathetic, evidence-based support for those who have endured difficult life circumstances.
If you are seeking a compassionate therapist to help you break free from patterns of codependency or people-pleasing, I would love to walk with you on your journey toward growth and self-discovery.
Together, we can work toward creating the fulfilling, authentic life you deserve.
How I Can Help You
Values Exploration and Boundary Setting
I can help you identify what you REALLY want to get out of life and help you live in greater alignment with those values. I know you want to protect those things and I can help you learn how through boundary work!
Cognitive Processing Therapy
Y’know those thoughts that make your heart stop or your stomach turn and make you feel stuck in debilitating, gut wrenching cycles? Those are called stuck points and as ‘permanent’ as they seem to be, we can actually recreate those to more accurately and lovingly reflect your life! YOU get to be the author.
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
Together we can identify life challenges that have been left unprocessed, what strengths have become overdeveloped for you, and allow your brain space to rewire itself through what’s called Bilateral Stimulation. Click the button below to ask questions about what that means and claim your free consult!
Trauma Focused Therapy
Living through codependent cycles can be a result of, contribute to, or serve as a precursor for traumatic experiences. I can help you better understand the role that trauma plays in your attachments to others, and guide you through healthy processing of it all.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy
Needing more skills for your mental health tool belt? You don’t have to feel completely powerless over your emotions anymore. We can name them, tame them, and help you learn to live with them in more fulfilling and compassionate ways.
Self-Esteem Building
Leave that identity crisis behind! Together we can create and cultivate space for you to safely and warmly explore who YOU are outside the context of ‘serving others’. Let’s work toward helping you not just say, but actually believe that you have value.
